Member Billing Representative

Iowa Lakes Regional Water is dedicated to providing reliable service and building strong relationships with our members. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Member Billing Representative to join our team and ensure accurate, timely, and professional billing support.

Role Overview
The Member Billing Representative will be responsible for processing billing transactions, assisting members with account inquiries, and supporting the finance team with accurate recordkeeping. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly member billing statements

• Respond to member inquiries regarding accounts, payments, and billing discrepancies

• Post payments, adjustments, and credits accurately in the billing system

• Assist with collections when necessary

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting

• Collaborate with customer service and finance team to resolve issues promptly

• Provide courteous, professional service to all members

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred

• Experience in billing or accounting, and customer service roles

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
