In this role, you will report to the Water Plant Operations Manager as part of the Utilities Team. Your role is critical in improving, maintaining and supervising the water production plants to provide exceptional quality drinking water to the City of Cedar Rapids. If your strengths include overseeing processes and leading staff as well as a passion for environmental quality, this position is for you!
Position Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:30pm-7:30am; 12 hour shifts every other weekend; Some holidays

Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalency and
- Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience of water plant operations
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population
Required Licenses or Certifications:
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Grade I Treatment-Water Operator Certification issued by the State of Iowa
- Grade II and Grade III Treatment-Water Operator Certification issued by the State of Iowa within twelve months of hire
